• Ben Farleigh

    Lead Minister

Originally from Cisne, Illinois, Ben has grown to love the community and tight-knit relationships that come with living in Southern Illinois. He began as the Lead Minister at Red Brush in August of 2022. Prior to that, he spent the previous 8 years in ministry as a campus minister and senior high minister. Ben’s passion in ministry lies in teaching people the Bible and helping them see the greatness and grace of Jesus Christ, while growing in their relationship with Him.

Ben is married to his wife of 11 years, Janell. They have four children, Bella, Beckett, Bennett, and Baker (who constantly get called the wrong names!) In his (very limited) free time, he enjoys playing golf, hunting, and is a HUGE Illinois Fighting Illini fan. Ben also enjoys pushing his limits mentally and physically in things like 24-hour endurance events, eating crazy foods, and bungee jumping. Next on the list: skydiving!

  • penny arnold

    Children's Minister

Before coming to RBCC as Children's Minister, I spent 23 years in education. I joined the ministry team in 2019 and am currently in my fourth year of ministry. Besides spending my time with our Red Brush family and coordinating our children's ministry, I own and operate a Christmas tree farm and store. Between my ministry and my farm, I get to combine all of my favorite things and hobbies - teaching children, cooking and canning, creating programs and events, working with animals, and celebrating Christmas!

  • Courtney Davis

    Administrative Assistant

Courtney is a Red Brush native, thru & thru. She grew up here her whole life, her dad, grandad & great-grandpa were elders, and her extended family still attends here. She had a brief, 6-month lapse in her Red Brush loyalty when she married her husband,

Tim, who is a worship minister. Courtney helps him lead worship each Sunday at their home church, Bible Grove Christian Church. Thankfully, in March of 2004, the Administrative Assistant position opened up at Red Brush and Courtney jumped at the

chance to take her dream job. Now, she enjoys the best of both worlds, with TWO church families to serve & love! Courtney is passionate about serving her RBCC family and knows pretty much everyone.

Tim & Courtney have a very unique love story that started at Oil Belt Christian Service Camp when Courtney was a jr. high camper. The Davises will celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary in August of 2023. The uniqueness of their story continued thru

the world of foster care and adoption, which God used to build their beautiful family. Their 3 little loves (Kylee, Khloe & Crawford) are amazing kids who keep Tim & Courtney very busy.
